What to Expect
Operations Control Center Technician (OCC Tech) will be responsible for monitoring the flow of product through the different shops of the factory to ensure that production output is being maximized.
What You’ll Do
- Prevent issues and when issues occur, stepping in and working with all required groups (Shop Leaders, Production Control (material flow), Master Scheduler, New Product Introduction, Material Planning, Logistics etc.)
- Develop the action plan and lead implementation to facilitate quick recovery to minimize impact on overall performance and plan attainment.
- Candidate should be flexible to work day or night shift based on business needs.
- Monitor the flow of products and parts through the entire factory to ensure they are achieving the plans set for them
- The technician is responsible for managing the near-term plans, as required, to maximize overall factory output
- Act as a leader / point of contact for the factory when issues arise (e.g., material shortage / equipment breakdown / quality issues)
- Participate in the daily tear meetings for production to maintain close understanding on the health of the factory
- Work with NPI and engineering teams on trial management
- Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment
- Assist with inventory control activities
- Collaborate with logistics and inventory/production control team to manage shipment schedules and yard space
- Manage system allocations per shipment schedules and available inventory
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years related experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude is a must
- Self-motivation and resourcefulness are required
- Ability to solve problems in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement in operations and reporting/information visibility.
- MS Excel experience required (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.). More advanced Excel modeling skills a plus.
- Enthusiasm for Tesla & clean energy and a desire to change the world.

Expected Compensation
$19.00 – $53.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
