Mechanical System Engineer Job Description

Responsibilities:

To generate mechanical system designs that are required for the project
To ensure modification designs are compliant with requirement from relevant aviation authorities
To perform analysis relating to function (e.g. flow rates of air, usage of oxygen, etc.) to substantiate designs
To work closely with engineers from other disciplines to achieve an optimal and cost effective design within the stipulated project schedule
To deliver presentations to the customers and aviation authorities on modification designs as required
To support aircraft prototyping and production activities
To support testing activities
To support technical publication activities

Requirements:

Good Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering
Experience with CAD software, particularly CATIA V5, for 3D modelling and 2D drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Words/ Excel/ Power Point.
Knowledge in VBA and/or other coding programs for data processing will be an added advantage
Practical experience in supporting aircraft mechanical system modification projects will be added advantage
Experience on composite structures will be an added advantage
Creative and passionate about design
Good written and oral communication skills in English
Must be a self-motivated team player who is able to work independently
