Key responsibilities include:
Risk Management
- Support Group and internal stakeholders in identifying and detecting potential threats to financial sustainability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and reputation
- Lead/support the implementation of risk initiatives, activities, thematic reviews, deep dives, tools, etc. to anticipate and minimise threats to the Group
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify and analyse sustainability risks, including climate change, social issues, and governance challenges, that may affect the organisation.
- Facilitate and support internal stakeholders through workshops/discussions in the development, conduct and validation of risk management activities including risk self-assessments, risk metrics and associated response/mitigations
- Provide effective challenge on risk assessments and action plans to address prevailing and emerging risks
- Design and implement risk awareness training programs to drive greater understanding and appreciation of risk management and encourages risk-conscious behaviour
- Leverage internal and external assurance service providers and other functional/subject matter experts to continually drive for enhanced efficiency and value-add to internal stakeholders in all governance, risk and compliance policies and processes for optimal business performance and outcomes
- Perform analysis on risk-related trends, emerging risks, and risk culture maturity
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk culture initiatives
- Support disclosures on sustainability-related risks and benchmark against industry best practices and emerging sustainability trends that may impact the organisation
Basic Qualifications
- A good degree in finance, business or economics
- 5-8 years of working experience in enterprise risk management and business continuity management
- Proven experience in risk management, with a focus on promoting risk culture within an organisation
- Conversant with risk trends and industry development with strong understanding of risk management principles, practices, and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Has an open and enquiring mind, ability to deliver reasonable and proportionate approach in risk management
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to interact with senior management and stakeholders as well as operational levels of staff
- Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements to optimise business outcomes and strengthen compliance
- Commercial awareness and able to understand broader business issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of sustainability principles, ESG frameworks, and their integration into business strategies
