Job Summary:
Corporate Real Estate is charged with strategic, proactive support for The Walt Disney Company’s Global Real Estate requirements. This is achieved through collaboration with key collaborators providing well informed options enabling knowledgeable decisions. Design and Delivery executes ground-up, tenant improvement, technology capital construction, and capital maintenance projects within the Corporate Real Estate portfolio from project inception through design, permitting, construction, and turnover. A Day in the Life a Manager in Design & Delivery…
You will lead three internal team members including developing the overall delivery strategy for assigned projects, providing guidance, training, and managing the workload. Responsibilities include client interface, programming, planning, design development, construction document development, construction management, cost control, and financial reporting. You will be responsible for coordinating all collaborators related to a project and providing timely, accurate, and detailed information to allow stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding project scope. You are a working manager, managing projects directly in addition to managing their team.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- +7 years of leading a team and providing feedback and/or coaching to them as needed.
- + 7 years project management experience or 5 years project management experience required.
- Experience in interacting with vendors, architects, contractors and manufacturers.
- Support common goals and embrace team achievement and good at developing internal partnerships.
- Update project reporting tools to improve cost tracking and develop a project approach to all work.
- Time management and organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and prior leadership experience.
- Proficiency at reading and interpreting construction documents, specifications, leases and contracts.
- Understanding of the local or regional codes and ordinances that inform a building design.
- Awareness of workplace trends that would impact space planning and interior designs.
- Ability to master technical issues, problem solve and lead the team to a collaborative solution.
- Handle detail and complexity and to think strategically.
- Resolve conflict and successfully partner with colleagues.
- Ability form partnerships with client representatives to develop win/win solutions.
Education is important to us, here is what we are looking for…
- Bachelor’s degree required in a development core discipline such as Construction Management, Engineering, and/or related curriculum.
It would be a plus if you had these skills..
- Master’s preferred in Construction Management or Masters in Business Administration
- Documented experience managing a capital program
- PMP Certification

The hiring range for this position in California is $123,000.00 – $165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
