Dewberry is currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Charlotte, NC office to work on a variety of projects for public and private clients. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, mixed-use, commercial and industrial site development, and capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities
- Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential.
- Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications. Assist with conducting public meetings and workshops.
- Site/civil development including construction site plans, grading design, storm water management systems design, landscaping, erosion and sediment control design, and construction details using Civil 3D.
- Ability to perform in the role of Project Manager responsible for client relationship management.
- Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
- May also conduct code research, write specifications, and coordinate permitting.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
- 5-12 years of experience in landscape architecture.
- Registered Landscape Architect required. Registration with NC and/or SC is preferred.
- Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
- Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, GIS/ArcView and Power Point.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
