Tesla has an opportunity for an IT Manufacturing and Warehouse Support Technician at its Lathrop Campus, in Lathrop, California. If you are a technical expert in various areas, thrive under pressure, enjoy solving problems, love working your way through chaos, and get bored with mundane IT tasks, then this role is for you.
The IT Manufacturing Support Technician has a unique role on the front lines of Tesla Manufacturing. We solve problems every day and interact with different technologies to support Tesla’s Mission ““To Accelerate the World’s Transition to Sustainable Energy”.”
What You’ll Do
- Primary responsibility is to provide IT support to the Manufacturing lines, and othert teams within the campus
- Install, support, upgrade, replace, and remediate all IT hardware along manufacturing lines.
- Quickly respond to requests and incidents from our customers.
- Troubleshoot Hardware, Operating System, and Software issues.
- Troubleshoot Network issues from the client up to IDF switch
- Interface with the various Manufacturing Teams to understand issues amd provide solutions.
- Interpret how to solve long term needs within the framework of IT MFG standard as well as Information Security standards.
- Represent IT with pride, support, enthusiasm and kindness.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a desktop support or system admin role.
- Able to work under high pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude in the workplace.
- Must be available to travel to various locations in Lathrop and surrounding areas.
- Must be available on weekends, Holidays and on-call support
- Experience supporting Large Scale Manufacturing and Warehouses, is a plus but not required
- Experience troubleshooting Zebra Products, Tangent, Allen Bradley and Siemen HMIs· Experience troubleshooting printers, barcode scanners, digital signage. · Experience imaging and supporting, SCCM\MECM, Linux, machines and devices
- Experience with MDM
- Experience troubleshooting basic client-side network (DHCP, DNS, Static IP, Ports) problems.
- Linux support experience a plus but not required.
- Network hardware support experience a plus. (Network Switch Administration, Vlan Change, IDF\MDF Management)
- Basic knowledge of Servers, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft O365 Products.
- Experience with POE IP Cameras.

Expected Compensation
$18.00 – $53.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
