The Talent Tech Engineering team leverages functional domain knowledge and technology expertise to advise, evaluate, implement, maintain, and optimize HR Technology tools for the constantly evolving needs of our Talent organization. The HR Data and Security Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable data architectures for our Talent (HR) department. This position requires a deep understanding of HR data processes, security, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional partners from Talent, Finance, Data Science Engineering, Security, and other stakeholders to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of HR data. This candidate will possess a combination of functional and technical expertise, as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical partners. You will establish deep cross-functional relationships to ensure solutions and initiatives are effectively designed and implemented.

Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting and analytics ecosystem
- Develop and implement comprehensive data architectures for HR systems, including data models, dictionaries, and data lineage solutions.
- Develop robust security model and governance in partnership with process owners to establish and enforce data security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect sensitive HR data.
- Design and configure security towards maximizing efficiency and improving processes
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks
- Implement robust endpoints to ensure seamless data flow between HR systems and other organizational/external systems.
- Conduct process modeling and identify opportunities for improvement within HR data management and reporting processes.
- Lead design, development, and implementation of new Workday Security functionality including managing internal Workday Security team and their Workday development, prioritizing efforts to deliver and oversee quality
- Provides guidance and subject matter expertise on security, data and reporting capabilities and limitations.
- Partner with HR Tech leadership on escalations and cross-functional impacts
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance HR data and security architecture.
- Lead the implementation of new systems and technologies, ensuring they meet organizational standards and requirements.
- Actively participate in Workday’s semi-annual release process, working with business teams to address critical impacts and upcoming enhancement opportunities.
- Maintain service delivery excellence including but not limited to a list of key deliverables and timelines across projects/initiatives with dependencies and proactively communicate progress to a variety of stakeholders.
Experience & Competencies Required
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, and security, with a focus on HR systems.
- Deep understanding of the Workday and familiarity to various HR Tech systems. its frameworks
- Strong exposure and knowledge of various types of HR systems across the Talent function is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration tools.
- Experience with security frameworks and protocols
- Project management and familiarity with Agile methodology
- Creative thinking, ability to partner with business, and navigating ambiguity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 – $720,000.
