Main Duties And Responsibilities
The primary role of the Head of Sales, Unmanned Systems is to prospect for new clients by networking, augment division BD and sales strength or other means of generating interest from existing and new clients. He/she must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. He/she must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. He/she is also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
Head of Sales, Unmanned Systems work with mid and senior level management, marketing, and engineers. He/she is responsible for the sales target set by the company and shall work closely with the sales team to achieve the target. He/she shall work closely with the various Business Development Directorates, participation in trade exhibitions and technology demonstrations events to engage new prospects and create new business opportunities for the company. Head of Sales, Unmanned Systems shall also be responsible of preparing proposals and quotations for potential clients.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing the solution/service.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Participate and attend functions such as trade exhibitions and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market trends, as well as prospect for new clients.
- Organise technology demonstration events to showcase capabilities and engage potential customers
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
- Ensure data is accurately entered and managed within SalesForce.
- Present and apprise company’s management on sales progress during bi-monthly sales review meeting.
Job Requirements
Education
- Good Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
- At least 5 years of sales or marketing experience will be of advantage.
