Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineering Graduate/EIT at our Ontario office. The candidate will work collaborative in a team environment supporting project managers with a variety of engineering projects in our Urban Development practice. This position has significant growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects
- Ability to read redlines and modify drawings accurately
- Work with project manager and assisting on producing design plans for land development and public works projects
- Research available record data for existing improvements and record plans
- Assist project manager with preparation of design plans, specifications, construction support, and cost estimating
- Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, and paving plans
- Participate in site visits and assist with documenting findings
- Attend, record, distribute meeting minutes, assist with general project correspondence
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- 0-8 years’ related experience
- Registered Engineer-In-Training preferred
- Licensed PE a plus
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Advanced AutoCAD 3D and Blue Beam
- Strong organizational skills

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Annual Base Salary Range: $72,000-$78,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate(s). The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the success candidate’s individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and consideration to participate in our discretionary annual bonus incentive program.
