Role objective:
As a member of ADP’s Global Integration Center, the Global Solution Designer (GSD) is responsible globally for designing the essential components of ADP’s Global Payroll products, solutions, and services for our MNC clients. In this client facing role. the GSD sets the holistic technical design, the client expectations, projects confidence in ADP’s capabilities and guides clients through decisions across the various countries and solutions being implemented. This global design along with GSD collaboration serves as the roadmap for each in country implementation team to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
The span of ADP Global Payroll solutions includes but is not limited to: GlobalView, Celergo, ADP Connection Interfaces, HCM Integrations, Insight Dashboards, and myView. The Global Solution Designer supports the Global Program Director in the production of all global deliverables (e.g. Global Templates, Blueprints, Configuration Workbooks, testing and go-live strategies). Central to the overall solution is the connectivity to the various client HCM components of our clients. As the technical expert, the GSD provides strategic guidance including the pros/cons of various configurations or utilizations of the HCM components aimed at a serviceable and maintainable solution for all parties involved.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain client-focused design mindset
- Employ highly developed consultative skills interacting with client at all levels of their organization
- Minimize risk and total cost of ownership by advocating standard solutions based on ADP’s best practices to maximize client value
- Project confidence in ADP’s solutions and services whilst setting appropriate client expectations
- Maintain Global Payroll knowledge
- Act as a mentor and actively support fellow team members in an effort to develop their respective skills
- Assist in onboarding new team members
- Prioritize and make decisions based on information and input in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with other departments impacting project to ensure alignment, drive quality and client satisfaction via projects that are on time and within budget
- Drive innovation, best practices, and achievement of strategic objectives
- Build the Global Solution Designer brand
- Demonstrate proactive participation in Implementation forums, contribute and participate in knowledge sharing and team development sessions.
- Participates in performance management and professional development activities by providing immediate feedback to project team members/leaders where appropriate
- Provide ad hoc pre-sales support regarding as determined by manager
- Support communications on methodology and business process improvements within the Global Integration Center and to partner teams
- Possess the superior level of HCM knowledge and apply the necessary competencies to deliver the maximum value to ADP’s clients
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the Products, templates, tools & processes to guide best practice solution design
- Provide feedback on the Products, templates, tools, & processes based on client interactions
- Serve as client advocate through educating others on solution gaps
- Embrace new product enhancements or products, participate in the definition of the implementation strategy
- Improve GSD processes/templates in collaboration with Methodology & Knowledge Mgt, etc. based on understanding of product direction/changes and lessons learned
- Aid in the requirements specification and design of changes to the products, templates, tools & processes
- Participate and/or drive pilot and early-adopter programs
- Actively participate in Sales to Implementation Hand-off clarifying project scope sold
- Lead global design workshops with client to gather and document detailed information on the requirements and global solution design
- Ensure that appropriate global design deliverables (e.g., blueprints, configuration worksheets, client specific configuration documentation and training material) are kept up to date (weekly) throughout the project
- Support implementation project team with global design and best practice advice in implementation workshops
- Act as owner of global design and monitor local design decisions for impact on global solution and overall efficacy of solution; redirect and/or re-solution as needed to meet evolving project needs
- Serve as a point of escalation for any local/stream project issues
- Collaborate with client and project teams to review status and discuss issues, risks, resolutions, possible mitigation plans and workarounds as needed to keep project on target. Where required, organize and lead meetings to achieve these outcomes
- Proactively inform pertinent leaders (e.g., Global Program Director, Project Manager, GIC Leadership, Executive Sponsor) of any potential client escalations, scope variations, task slippages and risks that may arise during the program
- Provide regular status updates including potential client escalations to pertinent leaders
- Actively contribute to after action review/lessons learned on projects to drive continuous improvement and client satisfaction
- Provide consulting and quality assurance to the Lead Consultant/Integration Consultant responsible for end-to-end integration testing and the go-live cutover approach, to ensure that global decisions are applied and adapted correctly to the local project
Qualifications:
- Degree or Equivalent in Education and Experience
- Fluency in English (oral and written); Spanish, German or French is added value
- Knowledge of SAP ERP Payroll with at least 7 years’ experience implementing SAP Payroll internationally or within global organizations.
- Highly experienced with SFSF / EC or Workday or Oracle Integration Implementations, through full implementation lifecycle (design, testing strategy, and testing execution, go-live), actively configuring and writing imports and exports.
- Exceptional communications skills written and verbal, able to drive change in uncertain circumstances
- Strong Project Management Skills and experience of managing scope, timeframes, stakeholders, resources to achieve objectives
- Proven track record analyzing and designing solutions
- Superior prioritization, analytical, interpersonal and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage client interactions (e.g. negotiations, escalations) and to create client facing materials which simplify complex solutions; Client Relationship Mgt experience is added value
- Demonstrated ability to perform the activities of Executive Lead Consultant within more than one product area/steam at a global level with the client.
- Possesses configuration knowledge and solid functional/blueprinting and implementation methodology/knowledge for a wide variety of ADP client types and across multiple regions.
- Exceptional experience delivering functional/blueprinting
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently depending upon task
- Good understanding of Integration Technologies (i.e. IAAS) and/or ADP Integration Solutions
- Expert in Microsoft Office Tools (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Ability to tailor communications to various cultures and learning styles
- Ability and enthusiasm in facilitating virtual meetings involving international parties
- Understanding of International culture and ability to work in a multinational environment
- Comfortable on video presenting to various audiences
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% (domestic or internationally)
- Lean Six Sigma experience or certification -> Preferred
- Global Payroll Certification -> Preferred
- Workday, Oracle, or SAP Integration Certification -> Preferred
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience.
