In this position, you will join a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to discover and build solutions to previously-unsolved challenges and push the state of the art. We are looking for a driven and dedicated computer vision/machine learning engineer or researcher, optimally with experience in 3D computer vision algorithms, such as object detection, pose estimation, generative models, or tracking. Description

You’ll be working in a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to implement world class algorithms that pushes the state of the art.  Your job responsibilities will include:   – Inventing and implementing state of the art computer vision algorithms to solve cutting edge problems  – Designing such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on mobile devices  – Collaborating with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectively  – Cooperating with your team members to prepare presentations, papers, and talks to explain your inventions

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Vision or Machine Learning – or – M.Sc. in related field with 4 years of experience
• Strong experience in machine learning, preferably in 3D computer vision
• Solid foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebra
• Solid experience in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in generative ML is a big plus
• Good experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib
• Experience in C++ is a plus
• Experience in 3D graphics and rendering is a big plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
• Track record of successfully building and shipping products or open source projects
• Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
