Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Drive and support the global freight and duty forecast process, provide direction and feedback to regional finance teams. Perform monthly forecast/quarter end financial analysis and close duties. Contribute to process reengineering and innovation of the finance planning, reporting, and analysis of finished goods Freight & Duty spend. (process and depth of analysis). Support Apple’s Worldwide Logistics and Worldwide Supply Chain organizations by providing forward-looking freight & duty cost estimates at the product level. Perform ad hoc financial analysis relating to cost drivers and new product costing related to freight. Interact with internal teams, including Finance, IS&T, Facilities, Procurement, and Logistics Operations to navigate complex operational processes across Apple to build effective business partnerships and influence decisions. Leverage end-to-end financial processes such as forecast, close, analysis and reporting to inform strategic decisions and support worldwide logistics and supply chain operations. Perform detailed cost analysis that informs Product Marketing of pricing decisions for new product launches. Model scenarios of product launch plan of record to measure cost savings opportunities. Utilizing analytical and presentation tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, SAP. Prepare monthly presentations for sustaining cost reviews which feed into margin analysis. Perform ad hoc financial analyses that contemplate alternative modes of transportation that drive cost savings opportunities and economic benefit to Apple’s bottom line. Oversee financial analysis for regional monthly forecast and quarterly close processes. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 – $201,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Spreadsheet and Modelling utilizing Excel, SAP, Tableau, and SQL.
- Cross-functional partnering experience, including experience working with global teams and providing strategic consultations on business proposals and sales programs.
- Leading executive-level presentations requiring simplified communication of complex financial modelling.
- Working with financial and commercial data to drive business initiatives and key financial decisions.
- Economic and Financial Analysis, utilizing key concepts such as margin, demand elasticities, market cannibalization and growth models.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and utilizing financial tools such as Tableau to enhance accuracy of financial analysis.
- Corporate financial consulting experience, analyzing different scenarios and determining risks and opportunities to the company’s bottom line costs.
