What to Expect
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Field Construction Finishout Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects, focusing on finishout tasks and ensuring their successful completion in the field. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality finishout work within specified timelines and budgets.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, supervise, and direct field personnel, including contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople, to execute finishout tasks effectively and efficiently
- Coordinate and schedule all on-site finishout activities, including interior finishes, installations, fixtures, and final inspections
- Collaborate closely with project designers, architects, and engineers to ensure finishout details align with project specifications and design intent
- Monitor daily progress of finishout work, track milestones, and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely completion
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and building codes
- Manage the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to support ongoing finishout activities
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing updates on progress, addressing issues, and facilitating solutions
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive on-site documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and other relevant records
- Implement and enforce stringent safety measures to create a secure work environment for all on-site personnel
- Stay current with construction industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A relevant combination of education and experience is acceptable as well
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, particularly in overseeing field finishout or interior construction projects
- Strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate on-site teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including conflict resolution and collaboration
- Proficiency in project management software and related tools
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address challenges in a dynamic construction environment
- Relevant certifications, such as OSHA 30-hour
