BROAD FUNCTION
The Executive, Ambulatory & SOC Ops will assist the Director, Ambulatory & SOC Operations team with the following scope or workstreams:
- Plan, develop and implement the SOC services, programs and process flows for the Specialist Outpatient Clinics, across various scenarios and contingencies
- Plan, review, analyze and/ or allocate Infrastructure, manpower, analytics, technology and other resources needed to the various units in the SOC
- Operations Readiness and Ramp up
- Pre-Operations across various nesting sites
- SOC operations (when WH opens)
- Lead and guide the team to operationalize and achieve WH’s strategic goals
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific
- Involve, coordinate and support the procurement of medical, non-medical, IT items, instruments, consumables, IT systems, etc
- Develop the detailed process flows with respective stakeholders or care teams. These will include but are not limited to those for registration of patients, actualization of appointments, escalation for exceptions, billing and payment, medication verification and collections, etc, including the development of SOC related policies, work instructions, guidelines, etc. The detailed process flows will be mapped in consideration of the use of health IT systems.
- Develop Contingency process flows and downtime forms for the various downtime scenarios
- Liaise with counterparts in the Division of Medicine, the Division of Surgery, and Allied Health Department, considering the clinical services, and the proposed models of care to support in the development and implementation of SOC services.
- Support SOC services, operations and pilots at nested institutions during Pre-Ops phase
- Participate and assist in all SOC Go-live activities and tasks e.g. prepare for Table-Top Exercises, set up plan, change management, migration plan, etc
- Support and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of SOC services and provide ground operations support when WH opens
General
- Lead/ participatein organisation or department projects e.g. improvement, IT or systems related, etc
- Any other assignments or tasks, as assigned by Reporting Officer
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field
- 0-4 years of working experience, preferably in the public healthcare sector is preferred
- Practical experience or certification in process improvement, value stream mapping, design thinking etc will be an advantage
