Position Summary
McCarthy Equipment and Supply Manager will be responsible for the operations and growth of our equipment and supply business in our Southern Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage processes, procedures, and major repairs and purchases on equipment and Company owned materials including but not limited to formwork, cranes, ground engaging equipment, hoists, trucks, and small engine equipment.
- Supervise Equipment Staff to ensure proper implementation of preventative maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs of major equipment and machinery.
- Oversee equipment assessment process and make purchase and repair recommendations.
- Review and coordinate third party equipment rental agreements and required insurances.
- Manage internal and third party rental processes
- Enforce Company policies and safety regulations.
- Act as resource to Estimating and Operations during the pursuit and startup phase of projects.
- Actively coordinate with project staff members on equipment needs and forecasting.
- Recommend pricing policies on equipment, including rental rates and purchase recommendations.
- Plan budgets, review and approve Income Statements and coordinate reporting to Division Controller.
- Supervise operational and staff personnel to include management of workload, assignments and professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory or management experience
- Background in Construction Equipment/Heavy Equipment/Sales/Supply
- Customer focused mindset and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.
- Strong Construction and Heavy Equipment Knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of current DOT and FMCSA laws preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit strong work ethic, teamwork, customer service, verbal, and written skills.
- Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills, excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong Supervisory Skills
- Must either have or be able to obtain a TWIC Card as required, within 30 days of employment.
