What to Expect
A Test Control (TC) technician plays a crucial role in supporting the daily shipping and inventory management operations of the Abuse Testing lab, providing support to the test operations team. A successful candidate in this role demonstrates a penchant for safety, meticulous attention to detail, resourcefulness, proactivity, and a sociable demeanor. Familiarity with MFS or similar enterprise resource planning systems is desirable.
It is essential for this role to have the ability to grasp the broader perspective, enabling them to manage and prioritize amidst multiple demands. In addition, their capacity to perform effectively under high-pressure scenarios is a plus. The perfect fit for this role is someone who brings a wealth of experience from a manufacturing and/or R&D setting, preferably with medium-to-high volume flows. Alternatively, experience in a complex distribution network with similar volume flows is also valuable. An understanding of cross-functional processes and their translation into suitable supply plans is a key part of this role. This position will report to the supervisor, operations.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily responsibilities for all outbound and incoming cell and energy product shipments.
- Maintain cell inventory and develop strategies for easy storage, retrieval, and identification.
- Prepare, sort and charge batches of cells as per weekly test goals.
- Maintain accurate tracking of critical cell builds for easy retrieval as needed.
- Maintain FIFO anywhere applicable.
- Maintain all test consumable inventory and re-order, as necessary.
- Scan incoming cells into inventory and optimize storage efficiently.
- Provide daily coverage to test operations, including rapid response to minimize downtime related to inventory issues.
- Lead special case disposition of hazardous and non-conformance materials produced by the test lab and escalate to ops management and test engineering teams s required.
- Perform inventory audits to proactively maximize storage and dispose of non-critical items.
- Be prepared to assist with test operations as needed – this role may involve a combination of testing and support tasks as required
- Perform other tasks as instructed by management.
What You’ll Bring
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of identity and employment eligibility will be required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or R&D setting.
- Verbal and written communication skills (able to understand and record inventory procedures, shift pass downs, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret detailed Ad-Hoc shipments and labels.
- Advanced computer skills (able to use job-specific PC applications and coach other users)
- Has a thorough understanding of electrical hazards.
- Advanced skills with a voltmeter to check AC/DC voltage.
- Safety oriented Ability to work off-shifts, as needed
- Ability to lift upto 50 lbs. and utilize other hand tools and power tools as applicable.

Expected Compensation
$24.00 – $65.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
