What to Expect
As an Electrical Technician specializing in test equipment assembly, you will play a vital role in supporting various engineering teams. Your responsibilities encompass the assembly of diverse form factor test fixtures, electronic enclosures, and custom rack-mounted testing equipment utilized in component-level PCB testing. We expect candidates for this role to possess a wealth of experience, enabling them to independently construct electrical panels and harnesses according to provided blueprints.
What You’ll Do
- High-Density Harness Assembly: Interpret harness drawings, execute precision cuts, strips, crimps, and meticulously assemble high-density harnesses in strict adherence to provided specifications
- Electrical System Integration: Utilizing electrical schematics provided by engineering, take charge of component layout, methodical harness routing, point-to-point wiring, assembly of rack-mounted test infrastructure, and ensure continuity verification
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive records of wiring and connectivity between devices in test setups using MS Excel
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform documented reworks, upgrades, general maintenance, and conduct continuity troubleshooting on pre-existing test equipment
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the purchasing team for BOM procurement, seek technical guidance from engineering, and liaise with the machine shop teams for fabrication requirements
- Support: Address occasional simple walk-up task requests from engineering teams promptly and effectively
- Time Management: Independently manage your time to successfully complete parallel assignments, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting project deadlines
What You’ll Bring
- Hands-On Experience: Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with industrial equipment, machine tools, and both hand and power tools
- Harness Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency and hands-on experience in harness construction, including the ability to read and interpret harness diagrams and electrical schematics
- Tool Proficiency: Exhibit proficiency in working with general and electrician tools, including soldering skills
- Shop Environment: Have exposure to a shop fabrication/maker space environment
- Test Fixture Assembly: Prior experience with automated test fixture assembly is highly advantageous
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Solidworks and Altium is a plus
- Metal Fabrication Skills: Metal fabrication skills are an additional bonus
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Expected Compensation
$24.00 – $65.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
