Role Summary
The Enterprise Technical Project Manager (TPM) works in the Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) workgroup. This individual is a vital resource responsible for leading the way in planning, scheduling, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects within technical domains.
The TPM collaborates with the technical project leads and teams of engineers, developers, and other technical specialists to ensure that best practices are followed, objectives are metmet, and risks are managed. The TPM organizes the project according to organization best practices and utilizes a technical project methodology that includes utilizing a shared workspace, measurable milestones, and project progress.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to define objectives, ensure requirements alignment, and create detailed plans to achieve them.
- Support Business Analyst with creation and management of project requirements documentation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Maintain open and transparent communications and meetings with project team and stakeholders to move project forward and facilitate collaboration.
- Establish the project workspace using appropriate project management tools and techniques to track project performance, risks, scope, and timeline.
- Work with the team and delegate the project tasks effectively.
- Direct the team to achieve a common goal.
- Responsible for risk management for each project.
- Participate in QA and UAT planning and execution.
- Compile accurate and timely detailed and summary project status reports.
Role Requirements
Education
Required
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A business degree with a strong technical background is also acceptable. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. A business degree with a strong technical background is also acceptable.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Waterfall, and Scrum) or a related discipline.
- Certification in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Proficiency in various project management applications, Such as Miro, Asana, SmartSheet, Power BI, Monday.com, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role in on a technology team.
- Experience with resource, budget, and quality management ensuring the projects finishes on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and fostering an atmosphere of collaboration.
- Strong understanding of different applications such as ERP, CRM, or HCM tools.
- Experience managing internal and external partnerships with vendors and consultants.
- Working knowledge of traditional/waterfall and agile project management principles and associated tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Possess interpersonal skills, communication (written and verbal), time management, and attention to detail while being highly organized.
- Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices, tools, and processes such as asset, access, incident, and problem management, change control, and service request fulfillment.
- Strong understanding of business processes and workflows as they relate to enterprise and business applications.
Work Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a computer screen.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Occasional domestic travel, via airplane, will be required for meetings.
This is a hybrid role with most time being spent working from home. Attendance at important meetings and events at the local DPR office is required.
Anticipated starting pay range: between $80,000 and $154,542
