What to Expect

**This role will work from our NEW Newburgh, NY DC.

Tesla is in search of a Non CDL Certified Driver to work on one of the most progressive services for our world-renowned innovative company. We are seeking professional customer service experience and excellent communication skills. If you are interested in contributing to a fantastic customer experience, we want you to join our team. The Driver is a critical contributor in the Tesla experience as you will be the face of our distribution center.  

What You’ll Do

• Deliver automotive products from our Distribution Center to Service Centers and Body Shops
• Minor truck service and maintenance  
• Vehicle cleaning (wash and minor detailing) 
• Building rapport & relationships with the field
• Understanding the Tesla mission and being able to relay the message 
• Miscellaneous jobs as required 
• Support in the warehouse as a material handler when not out on delivery

What You’ll Bring

• Valid driver’s license with DOT Non-CDL Certification and Medical Card. Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insured
• Great work ethic & team player – levelheaded, detail-oriented, safety contentious, courteous, flexible, punctual, and professional and customer focused
• Previous DOT Commercial Vehicle experience preferred. 
• Current DOT Physical Examination (medical card)
• Knowledge and adherence to federal motor carrier safety regulations / DOT guidelines
• Accurately maintain daily driver logbook, pre-check and post-check of Van
• Knowledge of local major and minor roadways
• Ability to effectively use maps and directions for efficient routing
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to follow instructions
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes | Glass (up to 60 pounds) and manually pallet jack heavy material on/off trucks
• Able to work OT as required, multiple shifts, and work within 200-mile radius of the Newburgh RDC

Expected Compensation

$19.00 – $49.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
