You’ll join a team responsible for driving the quality of display technologies and user experience across Apple products. You’ll define and build tests at every layer of the display stack. You’ll leverage your technical expertise to solve the most challenging problems at the intersection of hardware and software. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to drive issues to closure and deliver best-in-class display features for our customers!

Description

In this highly visible and cross-functional role, you will: – Develop optical characterization and test tools leveraging computer vision and machine learning – Design and execute automated tests to validate front-of-screen display performance – Partner with silicon, hardware, and software teams to drive key issues to closure – Leverage crisp data to influence product quality decisions and champion the customer experience in every phase of the development process

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering
• Relevant coursework in computer vision and machine learning technologies
• Project experience applying CV/ML in image or video processing applications
• Experience developing in Python, Swift or Objective-C, familiar with databases, SQL and scripting languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Design and development experience using object oriented programming
• Experience with test automation/pipelines with deployment tools like Jenkins, Docker, GitHub
• Knowledge of modern display technologies (OLED, miniLED, IPS, etc.)
• Knowledge of color science concepts
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $174,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
