About the Role & Program
Interested in applying your editing and digital media skills to dive into the heart of storytelling and character development for our Studio audiences?
We are looking for a creative problem solver with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn to work alongside our YouTube team!
If you are a passionate and driven student, we offer a hands-on experience in the fast-paced environment of digital entertainment production and content distribution!
You will work closely with the team, learning the entire video and digital content creation process, learning everything from concept development to execution to final release.
This is a full-time role. The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025- June 2025. If selected for the role, you will report to the Manager, Content Distribution.
What You Will Do
Support the creative production process and gain an understanding of content creation and the highly collaborative nature of our projects.
- Assist the team with comparative research analysis to understand market trends, audience preferences, and competitive content.
- Work alongside the team to curate engaging content for YouTube Shorts and YouTube Community.
- Assist in pulling assets for upcoming projects, brainstorming ideas, and developing programming calendars.
- Contribute creative ideas for titles, thumbnails, and descriptive copy.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with YouTube Studio and products
- Experience with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop for video editing and content creation
- Copywriting and editing skills to create compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audiences
- Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
- Experience with research to gather and analyze information from multiple sources to support decision making
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the entertainment media industry working on YouTube content creation
- Familiarity with Airtable
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date
- Major or previous coursework in Film, Digital Media, Communications, or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
