SPA Space and Intel Division is looking for an independent self-starting Cost Estimating Analyst who can work with an agile budget team in support of state-of-the-art space program developments. Teleworking is currently permitted.
Responsibilities
- Use parametric cost models to develop and document cost risk uncertainty analysis
- Produce Most Probable Cost Estimates to gain budgetary approval
- Develop and brief results and cost models to senior government leaders to enable decision-making
- Develop statistical relationships through data collection and regression analysis
- Build Business Case Analyses, Cost Benefit Analyses, market surveys, and Economic Analyses to resolve rapid acquisition strategies for new space capabilities
- Assess new and agile DoD acquisition strategies, Requests for Proposal, and Contract Data Requirements Lists for compliance with related cost data requirements to enable reduced acquisition time-lines
- Prepare and/or analyze space program engineering technical baseline documents for content completeness and consistency with other program documents and tools/models.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Date Analytics, or Engineering.
- 4+ years of DoD, Intelligence Community, or Space Cost Estimating Experience. Experience to include developing cost estimating relationships using raw data and conducting cost research efforts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate the results of evaluations and analysis
- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems in short time periods
- MS-Windows and MS-Office applications expertise
- US Citizenship is required
- Active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with parametric analysis and statistical regression
- Thorough understanding of statistics and data analysis
- Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE/A) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California Pay Transparency Range: 90k – 140k.
