A Content Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of content projects from conception to delivery. Their primary focus is on ensuring that all content projects meet their objectives, are delivered on time, within budget, and are of high quality.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content Project Manager, with a background in military training or a related field, to join our team as a key contributor in the development and implementation of learning technologies and services. As a Project Manager in this role, you will leverage your expertise in military training methodologies to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of learning technology projects that enhance the educational experience and support the organization’s learning goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, subject matter experts, developers, and stakeholders, ensuring successful project outcomes. Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Utilize your military training expertise to define project goals, scope, and objectives, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and business needs.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, leveraging your understanding of military planning methodologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and resource evaluations, applying your military experience to ensure successful project execution.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Lead and manage project teams, including instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts, using your military leadership skills to promote effective collaboration and communication.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies, drawing from your experience in risk management and contingency planning.
- Coordinate project tasks and activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards, applying your expertise in coordinating complex operations.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their learning technology needs and requirements, utilizing your experience in effectively engaging and communicating with diverse stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed about project progress and managing their expectations, leveraging your interpersonal skills and ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
- Facilitate effective communication and engagement among stakeholders, ensuring their active involvement throughout the project lifecycle, using your expertise in fostering collaboration and teamwork.
Learning Technology Implementation:
- Oversee the development and implementation of learning technologies, such as learning management systems, e-learning platforms, multimedia tools, and other educational technologies, utilizing your understanding of technology integration and user requirements.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and developers to ensure the successful integration of learning technologies into instructional materials and programs, drawing from your knowledge of instructional design principles and learning methodologies.
- Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback to refine and improve learning technology solutions, applying your experience in evaluating training effectiveness and collecting feedback from trainees.
Project Evaluation and Documentation:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project success, identify areas for improvement, and capture lessons learned, utilizing your analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and user guides, applying your ability to document processes and procedures effectively.
- Maintain project documentation repositories, ensuring information is organized and easily accessible to stakeholders, leveraging your expertise in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as instructional design, educational technology, or project management.
- Former military regular with a background in military training or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a learning technology or educational setting, with a focus on military training.
- Strong knowledge of learning technologies and trends, including learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, multimedia tools, and emerging educational technologies.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
