Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Pool Engineering to oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of our resort’s pools and water features. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering and design, a strong attention to detail, and a track record of successful project management.
Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, and maintain the resort’s pools and water features in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to develop pool designs that meet the needs of the resort and its guests.
- Manage the construction and renovation of pools and water features, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure that all pools and water features are functioning at optimal levels and to minimize downtime.
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of pool engineers and technicians to ensure that work is performed to the highest standards.
- Oversee pool landscaping team
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
- Oversee the budget for the department, including forecasting expenses and developing cost-saving strategies.

What we are looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in pool engineering, design, and construction, with a proven track record of successful project management
- Strong technical skills in pool and water feature design, construction, and maintenance
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, and supervise a team of engineers and technicians.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards related to pools and water features.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Compensation Range: $75-80k DOE
