Position :
Purpose The Business Analyst works closely with the Product Owners, Business Users and other internal subject matter experts to elicit relevant information to define requirements and products to assist in the delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Elicit and document business requirements from interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits/observation, business process analysis, use case scenarios.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyse, document and validate their information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Functional Requirements Document, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases, User Stories, UI Wireframes, Functional Specification Document.
- Maintain functional relationships with all stakeholders in order to gather information and understand stakeholder interests and manage expectations with these stakeholders. Collaborate with delivery/technical team and subject matter experts to establish priorities and resolve business critical issues and decisions affecting delivery of technology solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis of regulatory frameworks, industry information, initiatives and trends in order to provide information and advice to business and technology colleagues.
- Understand various concepts and terminologies, including highly technical content, and express them in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure all documents are written using clear and concise language.
- Ensure documentation supports and clearly represents identified needs, opportunities and processes as agreed with the customer.
- Ensure that documents meet all relevant specifications; and are compliant with the project brief and internal Company requirements, policies/procedures Obtain client sign‐off for documented deliverables.
- Review documents produced by other Business Analysts and colleagues within the Development team and provide feedback on quality and content.
- Participate with Technical Project Managers and QA Engineers to develop estimations and to prioritise stories for development.
- Participate in Sprint Showcases and Reviews to demonstrate, accept or reject functionality delivered during development iterations.
- Identify business risks and propose alternatives and solutions.

Experience :
- 4+ years in business analysis in a software development environment.
- Good understanding of the SDLC including development and testing best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in: o gathering user requirements; o defining user stories; and o defining non-functional requirements.
- Identifying assumptions, constraints, dependencies and risks.
- Facilitation of meetings and workshops.
- Good understanding of Payroll and HR related business domain.
Qualifications / Certifications
- Bachelor degree in Technology or Business, or related discipline and/or related industry experience
- Industry certification current, pending or willing to undertake within 3 months of appointment (IIBA or equivalent)
