Position Summary
CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, has an opportunity to welcome a new member to the Pharmacy Maintenance Team in Mt. Prospect, IL. As an Automation Maintenance Technician for our night shift, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the pharmacy’s automated systems. This is a great role for someone who enjoys an organized and clean work environment, focusing on routine inspections of our specialized machines. The person in this role will also be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues to meet production goals as well as quality expectations. Your efforts will impact the lives of thousands of patients who rely on the critical medications that are dispensed by this facility.
Candidates hired for the Automation Mechanic role are provided tools by CVS Health upon training. No requirement to provide your own.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Troubleshooting and maintenance for automation robotics, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems in a sophisticated automated large volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility.
- Conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to ensure optimal performance, such as troubleshooting electro-mechanical control systems and supporting the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, notifying the Manager of any concerns regarding major repairs needed or any additional equipment needed to support the pharmacy automation equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work area for all employees.
- Participate in training programs to stat updated on new technologies and procedures.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am, and Saturday 12:00am-8:30am.
Retention Bonus of $7,500 with a full payout after 6 months for any External hired. $2500 will be paid in the first 30 days, and the remaining $5000 will be paid after 6 months of employment.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of general maintenance and troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- 3+ years of experience of professional maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- 3+ year of experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical control systems and PLC based control systems, knowledge of PLC’s, PLC troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments
- Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, ISO 13485, FDA, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device).
- A craft certification or other related certification/training
Education
- Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $19.52 – $42.91.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
