Description

Within Audio Systems Engineering, our Noise Control group is passionate about developing robust control systems for acoustic environments — primarily with our AirPods line. In this role you will drive system design, modeling, and tuning of audio processing features in Apple products, specifically focusing on active noise cancellation. You will have an opportunity to work on development and analysis of both hardware and software components using a combination of acoustic and DSP skills. As part of our team, you will also work on improving the audio systems architecture for future Apple products.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years relevant product development experience
• Most of our engineers have advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field, but if you’ve followed a different path to expertise in Audio Engineering, we still want to hear from you

Preferred Qualifications

• Digital signal processing (DSP), including adaptive filtering, active noise cancellation and optimization of performance of these algorithms in devices
• Algorithm prototyping in simulation software such as MATLAB and real time hardware platforms
• Acoustic prototyping including experimentation in anechoic chambers and Audio/Acoustic measurement tools
• Listening skills for diagnosing problems in product sound quality

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,300 and $193,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
