Job Description Summary
- The incumbent will collaborate across engineering teams to design, develop, and evaluate stages of projects that will meet the evolving needs of our customers. The role offers the incumbent the opportunity to diagnose problems and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- We are looking for an individual to join our project team where you will be handling system management and their associated equipment and facilities. You should be passionate about your engineering discipline and demonstrate strong logical and critical thinking skills. Outstanding candidates can keep track of project expenses, write detailed reports, and ensure consistent quality assurance standards.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Collaborating with other engineers and workers to design, develop, test, and improve products and engineering processes.
- Ensuring all expenses stay within the allocated budget.
- Performing regular inspections of equipment and scheduling maintenance or repairs.
- To carry out scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on Facilities/System assigned by Supervisor.
- Inspecting inventory and reporting inconsistencies as well as ordering more materials.
- Producing CAD drawings according to specifications.
- Evaluating all products and processes and ensuring standardization of quality assurance measures.
- Participating in various learning experiences, which may include attending workshops and training sessions.
- Calibrating and troubleshooting equipment as required for the upkeep of the working environment.
- Any other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Polytechnic Diploma Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology/Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Preferably minimum 3-4 years in relevant experience leading a team and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and to collaborate with others.
- Able to multi-task and work independently.

- Responsibilities
- Prepare technical specifications for equipment procurement and perform technical evaluation of vendor’s bid
- Prepare relevant documents and drawings for project execution including Mechanical Datasheet, Technical Specification, Equipment Layouts, etc
- Check drawings/documents and ensure consistency with contractual technical specifications and Statutory authorities rules and regulation
- Lead/Review mechanical designs including Piping arrangement and Bill of Material for Approval, Execution and As-Built
- Arrange Material Take Off of equipment and mechanical component
- Optimize Equipment layout arrangement
- Manage and check technical information of external suppliers of equipment and systems and coordinate/cooperate with engineers from other trades in the organization
- Check drawings/documents and material list and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specifications, installation control documents and Statutory Rules/Regulations
- Control and monitor the creation of part number and description of material/item
- Ensure equipment specification, installation control document and interface design specification are properly maintained, disseminated and use for preparation of design activities
- Point of contact with contractor to provide design and engineering solutions onsite
- Participate in tests and trials, where required
- Requirements
- At least 5-10 years as Mechanical Engineer in EPC project for Power, Petrochemical, Water and/or Waste-to-Energy plants
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Good knowledge of international design codes, Statutory Rules and Regulations
- Strong EPC background
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM Model as well as some knowledge of BIM Administrator
- Open minded and able to adopt different ideas for implementations
