Assistant Principal Engineer – Marine Systems Design (SUBMARINE)

Responsibilities:

•  
• Prepare Engineering Document (Technical Specification, Calculation, drawings, etc) in the development of new designs and products.
• Generate new drawings and drawing changes including parts lists and Change Orders.
• Perform impact analysis on the arrangement and drawings.

• Plan and organise relevant design changes in cooperation with Ship Design Authority.
• Study/analyse/investigate/develop the design. Prepare technical documentation/ guidelines for the work to be performed, according to established formats from the technical database, stipulated budget, time schedule and quality standards.
• Conduct Testing and validate technical interfaces for the work performed, according to established test procedures from the technical database.
• Liaise with ship-owners and Ship Design Authority to obtain approval on engineering deliverables.
• Manage the design schedule and ensure that design is carried out according to contract and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering.
• At least 4 years experience in engineering design and/or Classifications Societies and/or as Naval Engineering Officer.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes, Classification/Statutory Rules and Regulations.
• Keep abreast with Naval Classifications Rules, Military and Industrial Standards relevant to design activities.
• Engineering Design Project Management skills.
• Strong leadership and Interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in  AutoCAD for design software
