You will be part of a team involved in the product development of automated process pipelines for Digital Twin 3D content, in cooperation with digital content creators, technical artists and application developers. You will be creating key components of the pipelines and integrating with external services/platforms to process data, producing outputs to address needs for Digital Twin 3D content in enterprises, predominantly in the Defence and Public Safety & Security domain.
In particular, you will be applying A.I. to solve prevailing needs in interpretation of large and diverse geospatial data sets, to create automatic processes that will overcome current challenges in processing such data through manual methods. The goal is to produce outputs on an accelerated or even real‑time basis to meet specific customer demands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Product R&D in the following areas, involving A.I. and 3D geometry:
- Digital 3D polygonal reconstruction of buildings and other ground features, for populating the terrain in the virtual 3D space of the Digital Twin
- Processes on satellite/aerial imagery for 3D shape analysis and semantic reconstruction from point cloud data, for example:
- Procedural modelling of polygonal 3D architectural models, extending to buildings’ facade image processing for textures on the models
- Automated process pipelines for producing outputs usable by downstream manual content creation e.g. for scene augmentation and/or transformations
- Scene change detection to determine extent of real-world change to buildings/features, generating advisories/indicators for manual content creators and end-users.
- Design and implementation of in-house components, covering automation runtimes and tools
- Generating a range of LODs to be stored in Digital Twin content server
- Suitable formats and protocols for content streaming and synchronisation
- Usage and management of external services / platforms, for integrating them with in-house components for desired process pipelines
- Assisting solution engineers with customised implementations and systems integration
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Computing, Mathematics or related field
- Entry level candidates are welcome
- Experience with Machine Learning, able to create and run A.I. workloads
- Experience in producing robust A.I. inference runtimes, with knowledge of distributed computing
- Strong knowledge of 3D Geometry and understanding of procedural modelling techniques
- Proficiency in technical writing
- Able to learn and adopt new industry tools and techniques, quickly and independently
Plus Point:
- Academic or professional background in Data Science
- Experience with usage of GPUs, CUDA programming and parallel computing
- Familiarity with LiDAR scan point cloud and Photogrammetry data
- Knowledge of environment 3D modelling, optimisation and rendering techniques
- Participation in related technical forums
- Experience in usage of Cloud platforms e.g. AWS and Azure
