* Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality repairs are completed for used vehicles
* Schedule and coordinate logistics moves for used vehicles both inbound and outbound.
* Execute on efforts to drive down total cost and time of refurbishment for used vehicles.
* Quick and intelligent decision making behind situations dealing with trades with the betterment of the overall business in mind.
* Regular onsite vehicles to inspection locations to oversee day to day operations and efficiency
* Successful execution of developed ideas and accountability for performance of initiatives
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred and or Equivalent working experience
* Experience working with all variations of cosmetic damage on vehicles
* Strong knowledge of Tesla’s vehicle line-up, including manufacturing processes, historical option data and repair costs
* Preferred logistics/transportation dispatch experience
* Proven ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Superior attention to detail under tight deadlines and comfortable in a fast paced working environment
* Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
* Ability to work across multiple computer systems, experience with MS Office required
* Strong verbal and written communications skills in English are a must
* Ability to travel to multiple work locations within region
* Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Responsibilities
Assist Tesla Body Shops with parts related questions via email and phone
Effectively communicate estimated parts ship and arrival time, and provide support for technical parts questions
Follow up with body shop members on parts order and ensure complete satisfaction
Work closely with Tesla’s internal teams to improve processes and provide feedback.
Accurately record parts transactions and data into Dealer Management System-attention to detail is critical
Prioritize and efficiently manage a high volume of work, and meet deadlines
Maintain daily metric goals.
Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry
Degree or Certificate from a University program in Automotive Technology a plus
Internal Tesla candidates must have experience using WARP Drive
Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the repair of vehicles
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organization skills, problem-solving aptitude
Ability to adhere to performance metrics including: CSI, department goals
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Enovia, CATIA, CAD or other PLM system experience is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions required
Dealer automotive service experience a plus
Must be 18 years or older

We are looking for an experienced Collision Technician to work on one of the most progressive vehicles in the world on the Collision Tactical Response Team. The Collision Tactical Response Team quickly deploys to support factory initiatives to minimize impact on the field, support high backlog locations, and new location openings. This position is home based through a local Tesla collision center; however, it requires regular travel in support of other collision centers and factory operations.
- Responsibilities
- Responsible for following proper repair procedures and performs all procedures according to factory specifications
- Use frame equipment for measuring and installing structural components
- Glue, rivet, and weld structural components
- Repair exterior cosmetic panels with metal finishing and body filler.
- Remove and replace all parts associated with collision repair including body, mechanical, electrical, and trim components
- Perform steel and aluminum welding operations: MIG / MAG / STRSW / Dent Pullers
- Operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand power tools and shop tools
- Reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal
- Maintain clean, orderly and organized work area
- Comply with safety rules, guidelines and standards

- Capable of seamlessly integrating with multiple different teams on wide variety of different technical repairs and processes
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public
- Maintain top level professional integrity and appearance as a collision technician
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently in limited supervision environments
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally to support business needs
