What to Expect
Tesla is looking for highly motivated and adaptive individuals to support Tesla’s data collection team. The primary objectives of this role are to collect data, assist with engineering requests, and report equipment feedback. The successful candidate for this position must be able to make data driven decisions and be comfortable working in a dynamic & fast paced work environment. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for the field of robotics and a strong desire to contribute to the development of Tesla Bot.
What You’ll Do
- Walk a pre-determined test route daily for data collection
- Wear a motion capture suit and perform designated movements and actions based on project requirements
- Start/stop recording devices and perform minor equipment and software debugging
- Provide feedback on the performance of the equipment
- Analyze and report on data collected during shift
- Upload data collected and write daily reports detailing observations and issues
- Ensure assigned equipment is in proper and safe working condition and safely transported to various collection sites
- Communicate with leadership when issues arise that need addressing in a timely manner
What You’ll Bring
- Must be able to walk 7+ hours a day while carrying up to 30 lbs
- Height between 5’7″ and 5’11″ as role requires the use of motion capture suits
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Excellent body coordination, physical fitness, and kinesthetic awareness
- Ability to work a flexible schedule: day/night shift and 1 weekend day + overtime when needed
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and daily regional driving
- Ability to take direction and adapt performance based on feedback
- Comfortable working independently with limited oversight
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software, mechanical experience a plus
- Experience using VR equipment a plus

What to Expect
As an Autonomy Camera Software Engineer, your technical skills will be applied to a variety of components within the imaging pipeline and software stack to optimize system performance and fundamentally improve image quality for computer vision. By partnering closely with hardware, computer vision, and system software engineers, you will be part of a cross functional, ongoing initiative of delivering the best possible view of the world for consumption by neural networks and driver-facing displays. Your code will connect with cameras, image signal processors, neural networks, codecs, telemetry, and other components executing on the FSD computer. Additionally, the camera software team builds tools for benchmarking, characterizing, and optimizing camera 3A and ISP configurations, and is responsible for testing and evaluation of software frameworks to ensure the system and functional stability of our stack.
What You’ll Do
- Write, debug and maintain robust C/C++ software for the Autopilot and our Humanoid robot software stack; you will work on code related to our high-framerate Camera & Vision stack, write GPU kernels, implement and profile system frameworks, or improve/extend codecs for video collection
- Architect, tune, and evaluate camera control and image processing algorithms for the next-generation FSD system
- Iterate on new features through simulation, testing, and targeted fleet data analysis
- Develop and maintain image quality analysis tools
- Define requirements and coordinate with relevant vehicle subsystems, manufacturing, service, and other teams to optimize optical performance and reliability
- Generalize software frameworks when necessary while keeping in mind that too much abstraction can sometimes become a bottleneck
What You’ll Bring
- Practical experience programming in C/C++ software, including modern C/C++ (C++14/17/20), multithreading, and Python. Cuda/OpenCL experience a plus.
- Knowledge of digital camera systems and related concepts, including color filters, exposure control, timing, drivers, and in-sensor HDR techniques. Experience with imager bring-up.
- Experience or familiarity with ISP pipelines, drivers, and associated tunings
- Experience or familiarity with Computer Vision, Machine Learning & related software concepts
- Experience with performant embedded software design, object-oriented C++
- Proficient developing software on a Linux host, for embedded Linux targets a plus

Tesla is on a path to building humanoid robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks for manufacturing and logistics. Our robot is an electro-mechanically actuated autonomous bi-pedal robot.
We are looking for firmware engineers to develop and validate embedded firmware for joint and hand controllers, enabling our Tesla Bot to perform locomotion and manipulation. In this role, you will work closely with the electronics, actuator design, controls, and integration teams to architect, implement and test high performance, safety critical firmware over the full product life cycle.

What You’ll Do

As Disaster Relief Manager, you will be responsible for leading the global strategy of how Tesla supports disaster relief efforts for communities in need that have been affected by natural disasters.

What You’ll Do
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing Tesla while working with local communities, government, not-for profit and corporate organisations collaborating to support impacted communities.
- Manage the interactions with Government (State & Local) agencies & departments, Emergency Agencies, Community Groups, Recovery Centres and Hubs
- Develop and implement a Global Disaster Relief Strategy
- Work collaboratively with Tesla Service and Deployment on the product and system requirements to support disaster relief including solar generation, Powerwall energy storage, software, and internet.
- Monitor and evaluate the natural disasters occurring around the world and make recommendations to leadership on when, how and why Tesla should participate.
