Collision Field Technical Specialist
What You’ll Do
- Field based body repair technical specialist that solves field escalations at Tesla Approved Body Shops and Tesla Body Shops
- Root cause body repair field issues and report findings to engineering teams
- Answer Toolbox cases, emails, and phone calls to address body shop concerns with highest level of response and attention
- Provide training and quality assurance activities to continually improve customer satisfaction
- Generate weekly reports of activities and findings
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- ~50% travel based on business needs
- Comply with all Tesla safety rules, guidelines, and standards
What You’ll Bring
- Certificate from Vocational School in collision preferred
- Body Master Technician – 10 years industry experience preferred, Tesla experience preferred
- Expert working knowledge – frame equipment, welding, riveting, metal work, diagnostic systems, estimating platforms
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft office and cloud applications
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently in limited supervision environment
- Ability to travel nationally and internally to support program needs
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs and driving fork lift
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Expected Compensation
$64,600 – $245,100/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

What to Expect
The Tesla Body Repair Program is seeking a Collision Repair Customer Support Specialist to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position will involve supporting the Internal Body Shop in all aspects of its Authorized Collision Program.
What You’ll Do
- Work scheduling maintenance
- Liaison between Customer Claim Specialists and the Body Shop
- Vehicle arrival preparation
- WARP and CCC administration arrival
- Customer communication and expectation
- Rental coordination and hand off
- Vehicle status updates
- Material and supplies reordering
- Repair review and delivery
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in the collision industry.
- Certificate from Vocational School in Collision Repair preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record with at least 2 years of driving experience and insurable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Must be willing to train others
- Must be comfortable working in a collision shop environment
