MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving NHG’s Technology Strategic Master Planning and Roadmap, and Cluster-level Initiatives
Supports the review and rationalisation needed to establish NHG’s Technology Strategic Master Planning and Roadmap, in alignment to MOH’s Digital Health Masterplan and HITMAP 2.0.
Supports the formulation of NHG’s Technology Strategic plan, working in collaboration with NHG’s internal and external stakeholders. This means charting the NHG’s technology strategic priorities and the 3 to 5 years implementation workplan.
Determine the business objectives, outcome and corresponding KPIs for each of the strategic areas. Maintain an oversight of the strategic programs / projects initiatives to ensure it is delivered as per objectives and business outcome outlined.
As part of the role, you would be assisting the Director in formulating detailed strategy implementation approach, rationalising the business use cases and outcome and establishing the funding approach required for the various strategic initiatives implementation.
You are to maintain oversight of the overall NHG Technology Portfolios and responsible for the planning, preparation, review and reporting to the management of NHG’s technology portfolio management report to NHG management on the business outcome realisation and KPIs established for the programs / projects.
As part of the TSP work planning, the incumbent would need to support the Group CDSO, Group CIO and Director of GDSO in the analysis for review and decision on budget sustainability for NHG Group Technology. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Director and other Program/Portfolio Leads to provide finance analysis and insights required. This includes scoping each project, recommending project strategies, developing project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and driving discussions for project deliverables. It is common for projects to cut across multi-organizations, including organizations outside of NHG. This role comes with basic project management responsibilities – management of budget and secretariat roles are to be expected.

- Have leadership and supervisory experiences in guiding subordinates.
- A meticulous and eye for detail is required. Able to manage large data sets/information, analyse and derive relevant insights, prepare and present in coherent and systematic manner to enable management decision making.
- Any ad-hoc projects/tasks assigned by the Reporting Officer and Head of Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
a. Education/Training/Experience
- Good Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree in any of the following – Accounting | Business | Economics or equivalent
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of working experience.
- To succeed in this role, you will need good understanding of Singapore healthcare systems technology landscape.
- Prior experience in healthcare, finance and operational analytics, and comfortable in handling large data sets.or related experiences would be advantageous.
- Possess leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. Able to lead, engage and develop good working relationships with multi-facetted stakeholders across healthcare domains.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills, good written/communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and customer service skills with multi-tasking capabilities, able to lead and work with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable in writing management papers for reporting and update.
- Good presentation skills, able to communicate well for different target audiences.
- Good leadership skills with ability to drive discussion with cross functional teams and members with varied seniority levels.
- Able to translate ideas and information into concise and compelling presentation material. Excellent writing skills with ability to produce clear, structured proposals.
- Proactive self-starter with an analytical and critical thinking mindset. Able to think out of the box and look beyond the issues/challenges, identify areas of opportunities.
