- To support the Division for Central Health in building a community of carers comprising of patients, caregivers, volunteers and partners under the auspice of the Centre for Health Activation (CHA). This is in alignment with the vision of TTSH and Central Health, and supports the national Healthier SG strategy.
- To support in the development of new volunteer programmes and management of existing volunteer groups/ programmes as well as the network of TTSH and Central Health volunteers. This includes driving training, communication, recruitment, retention, appreciation and engagement strategies and platforms for these volunteer-carers.
- To support in the development and maintenance of volunteer management and activation framework and environment for individuals (volunteers) to take charge of their own health and to care for the health of others in the community. This includes building and sustaining hospital volunteer programmes and community partnerships to drive activation efforts both in the hospital and the community.
- To drive in volunteer management projects such as the development of an IT system to manage volunteers and to organise the annual Volunteer Appreciation and Awards event.
- To support the Organising Committee and lead in key roles in the annual Singapore Patient Conference and Singapore Patient Action Awards. These are national key engagement platforms for patients, caregivers, volunteers, community partners, health and social care professionals to co-create and spark new ideas to create a better health and social care system for all. The role involves end-to-end event planning and execution, publicity and marketing, liaison and coordination.
- To build synergy as one team – collaborate closely with and leverage on complementary units within Activation (Community Activation, Research and Patient Education Support), aimed at enhancing the care experience of patients, caregivers and volunteers. Manage resources and implement the programmes, projects and events within set budgets, funding mechanisms and timelines
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably Degree in business, communications, social sciences, psychology, or a related field will be an advantage
- 3-5 years of community engagement, volunteer management or communications experience, preferably in the healthcare and/or social service industry, will be an advantage. Candidates without relevant work experience are welcome to apply.
