PROJECT TILE: The VALUE of Companion SteWARdS: Understanding the facilitators and barriers to appropriate antibiotic prescribing in veterinary clinics for companion animals in Singapore

HOST INSTITUTION: Tan Tock Seng Hospital (in collaboration with the Singapore Veterinary Association)

STUDY PERIOD: May 2023 to December 2023

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC

• Recruitment and collection of survey data from pet owners at local veterinary clinics for the study.
• Organize data collected from the participants into a database for downstream analysis purposes.

GENERAL

• Ensure that all study practices and procedures (e.g. screening, recruitment, follow-up, specimen taking, data entry) are conducted in accordance with study protocol, other applicable regulatory / ethical requirements, standard operating procedures and hospital policies.
• Ensure accurate and complete essential research documents and ensure that they are audit compliant.
• To perform other duties as directed by the Principal Investigator and Research Fellow.

OTHERS (optional academic output; for case-by-case discussion with TTSH study team)

• Analyze and interpret quantitative data generated from the study.
• Assist with literature searches and manuscript writing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL

• Age 17 years old and above

EXPERIENCE

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Oral and written proficiency in local languages (e.g Chinese, Malay, Tamil) is preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong initiative, willingness to perform duties and learn new skills as and when required.
