JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant/Manager will support the Assistant Director, Operations, National Tuberculosis Programme (NTBP), NCID, in managing and developing the public health operations of NTBP, including implementing programs /projects under the NTBP.
The Assistant/Manager will assist the Assistant Director in building an operations team within NTBP, and devise enhancements to operational functions and processes for TB prevention and care in line with the ‘20-10-10-20’ vision to reduce TB incidence in Singapore.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC
The Assistant/Manager will support the Assistant Director, Operations, NTBP, NCID in managing the public health operations of NTBP through:
- Managing the TB Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) cluster investigation, national Video Observed Therapy (VOT), and public health operations units, including supervising, coaching and developing the team to ensure they have relevant skill-sets to carry out their tasks
- Reviewing and improving workflows, processes and programmes of TB WGS cluster investigation and national VOT
- Managing and planning operations for TB outbreak investigations and interventions, if required (in conjunction with NCID Operations)
- Conducting site visits for outbreak investigations and pre-intervention operations, with relevant parties including NCID operations team as well as NCID nursing team, when required
- Supporting the secretariat work for the workgroups that supports NTBP including the National TB Programme review
- Preparing submissions for policy reviews
- Assisting to implement programmes and projects under NTBP as directed, collating key KPIs that support NTBP missions
- Preparing budget, utilisation and projection
- Supporting the migration of relevant public health units and devising working plans to track unit’s performance.
- Supporting training, education and outreach activities under NTBP.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree and above, preferably in Science, Public Health or closely related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or related sector
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at supervisory level
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Good writing skills, hands-on experience, initiative and excellent interpersonal communication skills are key attributes
- Meticulous, mature, system-thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities
