Research Assistant

(A)       SPECIFIC (90%)

1. Liaison person with Principal Investigator (PI) and site-PI.

2. Liaison person with various departments for clinical research procedures e.g. Specialist Clinics, Laboratory, wards, etc.

3. Adherence to protocol procedure.

4. Screening and recruiting suitable candidates as research participants.

5. Explain protocol to research participants.

6. Comply with Singapore Good Clinical Practice (SGGCP) requirements and to ensure informed consent is taken and documented if required.

7. Perform research procedures accordingly, including data and sample collection.

8. Contact and schedule appointments for research subjects within the time frame required in the protocol.

9. Documentation of patient reimbursement logs.

10. Collect, prepare and send specimens (including blood) to laboratory.

11. Filing and documentation of patient and electronic case report forms.

12. Maintain source documentation for each patient in accordance to protocol requirements.

13. Identify, document and submit protocol deviations to Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB) according to hospital and sponsor procedures.

14. Inform PIs and collaborators on any adjustments or protocol change.

15. Identify and document Adverse Events (AE), if any, and obtained PI’s acknowledgment.

16. Assist any other projects and tasks assigned by the PI or Head of Clinical Epidemiology Unit.

(B)       GENERAL (10%)

1. Any other duties as assigned by Head of Clinical Epidemiology Unit or the Head of Infectious Diseases

2. Participation in department’s education program / journal clubs
