ICSS Interface Integration Test Lead required by our Client in the Oil & Energy sector to be assigned on a contract basis – located in Houston, TX
Duration: One year + (on-going)
POSITION SCOPE
Initially based in the Upstream Project Office in Houston, USA, the job holder will report to the CPI Technical Manager and will be the Field Operations representative during the integration and commissioning program of the subsea control system within the main LNG plant Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS). The job holder will attend all testing phases done in the various contractor premises (Houston, Ingleside, Milan) and follow-up the integration program until completion on site (Mozambique). His/her objective is to ensure that the integration of the subsea controls within the ICSS is carried out successful by fulling Company Field Operations team requirements and specifications.
The job holder shall be capable of working in a cross-functional manner with the various package leaders and quality team to achieve technical solutions which meet the requirements of the concerned entities.
The CPI package includes the following sub-packages: SPS (Subsea Production System), Umbilicals (onshore and offshore), Subsea Distribution System, Onshore Subsea Support Modules, Onshore MEG and Chemical injection modules, Onshore and Subsea Valves
**travel to Houston, Ingleside, Milan, and Mozambique will be required throughout the length of the contract**
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The job holder is responsible for the follow-up of the subsea control integration within the onshore plant Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS). He/she shall ensure that operational requirements and specifications are fulfilled throughout the integration program. The job holder will cover testing phase of each individual packages, integration program and testing in respective contractor premises (FAT, eFAT, SIT, etc.) and on site up to commissioning and start-up phase.
- Work together with the CPI team to define and finalize the interface between the Subsea Control System and the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).
- Ensure that all integrated testing program with Onshore & Upstream Contractors are done according to specifications & Interface Agreements
- Follow-up all testing phases of the integrated control system by upstream Contractors (W Industry and TFMC) within the main Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) developed by the onshore Contractor CCSJV & Schneiders
- Follow-up the development of the Overall Control of Well and Trunkline (OCWT) within the ICSS. Ensure that the OCWT is fit for purpose, meets its objectives and ready for initial start-up
- Ensure that the subsea operating principles, functional requirements and operational needs are well captured and fulfilled during the tests and integration program. Identify focus area and resolve technical issues
- Propose improvements, as deemed relevant, in line with subsea operating strategy
- Ensure a seamless communication between Operations Team & CPY project teams
- Ensure that all testing and potential punches list are recorded and managed in selected completion system
- Ensure that handover system is correctly followed between the various stakeholders (Offshore Delivery Team (ODT), Onshore LNG plant and Operations team) and punch list items closed.
- Develop and provide relevant trainings to subsea engineers and operating personnel
- Aid with Commissioning and Start-up on site for subsea production and control troubleshooting/optimization
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) or more years’ experience in Oil and Gas offshore operations and five (5) or more years’ experience in testing & Controls system position for Subsea equipment. Specific experience and expertise in the following is required:
- Experience in subsea control system (FMC) and Integration in ICSS System (Schneider);
- Experience with subsea production operations and associated equipment, and corresponding risks from a technical and practical standpoint;
- Supervisory experience of contractors;
- Experience with Overall Control of Well and Riser (OCWR) system and successful implementation;
- Experience with deepwater gas fields and continuous MEG hydrate inhibition operations.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
The subsea field will be developed via 18-off subsea wells (7” Vertical Subsea Xmas Trees), 7-off 4-slot production manifolds with associated foundations, one MEG manifold, 36-off 8” flexible jumpers, 3-off 22” trunk lines (approximately 120km total length), 1-off 6” and 1-off 8” MEG lines (approximately 40km length each), 18-off 10” in-field flowlines (825 Alloy clad), 4” in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and FLETs for all pipelines and flowlines, 25-off Subsea Control Modules for X-mas Trees and manifolds, 4-off Subsea Routers Modules, 4-off onshore umbilicals (around 16km total length, 2-off main tie-back umbilicals (approximately 75km total length), 5-off in-field umbilicals (approximately 31km total length), 12-off UTA assemblies + electro hydraulic flying leads, rigid jumpers and spools (16” and 22”). Controls, MEG/MeOH and Chemical injection will be provided via two 600 t Onshore Subsea Support Equipment Modules (OSSEM).
