Description
• Lead directly the development of the Sales Plans for Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam & Thailand and potential new SEA markets.
• Recommends plans and strategies, methods to Distributors/Company which enable the delivery of the sales plans agreed in yearly JBP with the distributors.
• Work with the cross-functional support teams internally to support the business via distributors.
• Deliver the yearly Profit target for respective markets in charge directly.
• Builds Capability of the Distributors directly in charge.
• Recommends corrective action to adapt to changing market paradigms and proposes further growth plans.
• Provides Market insights (competitive analysis, in-depth trade understanding, growth opportunities, risk assessments)
• Provides DPSM (Distribution, Pricing, Shelving, Merchandising) insights, learnings and plans in all channels.
Responsibilities
• Sell, engage and implement Joint Business Plans with the distributor to deliver net sales, contribution margin, value share & in-store visibility targets
• Leads the Joint Business Planning with the Distributor. Reviews progress of JBP and agreed KPIs on regular basis.
• Leverages distributor scale to maximize channel coverage and optimize sales fundamentals implementation
• Works with and supports distributor sales force to ensure agreed objectives are met. Review distributor performance monthly
• Monitors and tracks in-market-sales performance and recommends corrective action.
• Helps implement Trade visibility and display programs as per agreed Strategy
• Recommends and supports the planning of product launch programs and helps implement.
• Accountable for developing and winning in-store visibility plans as well as sales fundamentals improvements (shelf, display, mailer)
• Manages & reports all relevant expenditure, e.g. trade spend and ensures the best utilization of trade fund within agreed budgets
• Collates and reports competitive activities and information and provide feedback
• Sales Forecasting & Analysis
• Regular Business Updates on business plans, KPIs, P&Ls, promo calendars, activity grids and spending
• Ensure continued growth through driving sales and managing spend
• Share and leverage best in class projects / results among peers / teams
Qualifications
• 7+ years’ Sales experience
• FMCG industry experience preferred
• Proven track record of business to growth
• Experience in sales in Asia Pacific market, ideally South East Asia countries (advantage)
• Possesses very strong negotiation & communication skills (verbally & written)
• Demonstrate very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive in approach and well organized (attention to detail)
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work autonomously
• Demonstrates the ability to deliver on objectives, across functions and in challenging circumstances
• Displays resilience under external pressure, and has well-developed collaboration skills
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Ability to adjust plans quickly when issues arise and make sure that priority issues are handled effectively to accomplish goals and objectives
• Experience of working as part of a multi-cultural and geographically dispersed team (advantage)
• Fluent in English
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Intermediate/Advanced level)
• Avid and humble learner
