The design tools team builds both applications enabling designers to craft specialized assets for Apple SDKs, and Xcode components enabling engineers to integrate those icons, symbols, and colors into their source code. Description

As an engineer on the Design Tools team, you’ll build, design, and refine features in SF Symbols, Asset Catalogs, and internal design tools that enable the unique experiences of Apple Platforms. You’ll integrate feedback from customers and Apple’s internal design and engineering teams to improve our applications. You’ll represent your team cross functionally, working with colleagues across Apple as we advance our tools and SDKs. You’ll shape our SDKs, and enable innovative new features in applications across our platforms through tools. You’ll be most successful as a self-motivated engineer with initiative and a solution oriented approach. You’ll have constructive design discussions, learn from your team, and use your experience to make sound engineering decisions. As an engineering on Xcode’s Design Tools team, your primary contribution will be: *Working with designers and frameworks teams to shape and scope features * Developing in Swift, and occasionally Objective-C * Improving performance, fixing bugs, and writing tests * Collaborating through pull requests, in-person conversations, and Slack * Triaging feedback from internal and external customers to steer quality, usability and features investments * Wholistically prioritizing, scoping, and scheduling features

Minimum Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
