About the role

We are seeking a talented Backend Product Engineering Tech Lead to oversee our backend engineering efforts. The role requires strong engineering skills and care for the product to collaborate closely with the Product team while also driving significant product decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the development of core backend systems, including:
   1. Product Backend, Notification Server, Authentication Server.
   2. Smart Contract Sync: Ensuring consistency between smart contract data and our databases.
   3. Native wallet enhancement: Work on optimising the performance of our wallet
   4. Testing: Enhance quality by adding unit/regression tests
2. Oversee functional projects such as:
   1. KYC processes for onboarding.
   2. Marketing and rewards build.
   3. Development and maintenance of internal portals.
   4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Web/Mobile engineering teams, to ensure cohesive product development and implementation.
   5. Strengthen GRVT’s authentication technology stack by working closely with the Head of Security to enhance security features like multi-factor authentication (MFA), WebAuthn, and secure session management.

• Engineering Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams to deliver high-quality, complex systems on time
• Product Thinking: Strong product thinking with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers while making key product decisions
• Technical Excellence
  • Expertise in backend engineering, with a focus on scalable and high-performance systems.
  • Proficiency in Go, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
