What You Will Do
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs.
- May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, enhancements, and/or new systems and applications.
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experiences.
- Develop competence by performing structured work assignments.
- Analyze information and standard practices to make judgments.
- Receive instruction, guidance and direction from others.
- Be accountable for developing technical contribution to team.
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions and check for understanding.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Some technical proficiency with one or more of: Python, NodeJS, Java, Go, Jira, Confluence
- A basic understanding of software engineering practices
- An understanding of data structures and algorithms
- An understanding of database systems
- An understanding of automation tools
- Experience with web application development
- AngularJS or React experience
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Kanban
Education
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study.
Program Details
- Location: Orlando, FL or Burbank, CA
- Program Length: May/June – August/September 2025 (12 weeks)
- Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Eligibility Requirements
At the time of application:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and provide full availability for the entire program duration.
- Must be able to provide your own housing and transportation during the internship.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
