About the Role
Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is looking for an Inclusive Strategies Intern to support a growing team responsible for the permanent shift towards reimagining the development of products and partnerships with the goal of growing Disney’s reach, relevance and impact with communities and fans around the world!
This role will be responsible for projects that will help propel the team’s strategic plan, ensuring requests for creative input are handled in a timely yet thoughtful manner, assisting with required research and maintaining communication with all DCP teams including product creation, publishing, games, franchise, marketing, communications, and consumer insights.
The Inclusive Strategies Intern position reports to the Manager, Inclusive Strategies
What You Will Do
- Support development, maintenance and distribution of Inclusive Strategies tools including pitch decks, sizzle reels, content calendars, and content-related presentations
- Research/fact-checking support for product development
- Manage business update presentations for internal and external partners by coordinating data collection, images, etc.
- Support product/content review process, including tracking submissions, feedback capture and report-out
- Liaise with internal and external partners to coordinate DCP Inclusive Strategies team involvement in content updates, mobilization meetings and task forces
- Support experiential/activation projects tied specifically to retail and product initiatives
- Provide team meeting coordination including agenda generation, recap notes/action steps, and follow-ups
- Collaborate with the team on other initiatives and new opportunities as needed
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Interest in Consumer Products/Retail, Multicultural Marketing, Entertainment, Research, and Global Outreach for the full spectrum of diverse audiences
- Solid presentation skills and ability to motivate both internal and external partners
- Self-starter, motivated, proactive, dependable, flexible, detail oriented
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaborator and team player
- Able to manage multiple tasks and assignments
- Resourceful, innovative, and responsive to change
- Strong computer/technology skills (Keynote, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.)
Required Education
- You’ll be an undergraduate student in their senior year or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months earning a degree in Cultural Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available for the duration of the internship, approximately 40 hours each week
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January – June 2025.
