What You Will Do
As a Show Lighting Design Intern, you will work with the team that researches, designs, develops, installs, tests and adjusts, and/or documents new projects. These projects apply architectural and theatrical lighting techniques supporting the creative vision for attractions, restaurants, merchandise areas and/or area development in our WDW Orlando based theme park and resort areas! - Develop, under supervision, designs of show lighting
- Prepare, under supervision, basic lighting design and field implementation
- Troubleshoot and install existing lighting in a construction environment
- Provide general support to Lighting Designers
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Hands on experience with theatrical or architectural lighting
- Experience with AutoCAD & Revit
- Computer literacy with MS Office products
- Ability to work as a member of a technical team
- Valid Driver’s License required
Education
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or must have graduated from an accredited college/university within the past 6 months, earning a degree in a Theatrical or Architectural Lighting program, or related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization

- This internship is located in Glendale, CA
- The approximate dates of this internship are January through June 2025
- Candidates selected for an internship based in Glendale, CA must provide their own housing for the duration of the internship
The pay rate for this internship in California is $26.50 per hour for undergraduate students and $27.50 per hour for graduate students.
