- The client is looking for a Devops Software Engineer Who can code either in Java/Groovy.
- Along with experience in Kubernetes and Docker.
- Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.
As the CI/CD Principal Application Engineer (Trident Engineer) for the Enterprise CI & CD Pipeline team, you will drive how the client uses CI & CD to deliver applications to production in an agile fashion. The Trident Core team is tasked with the creation of an enterprise-grade Continuous Delivery pipeline using multiple industry-standard CICD tools that can deliver to legacy and cloud platforms iteratively without compromising on quality or security.
Responsibilities
- This role requires working with engineering and software delivery teams, and subject matter experts to understand pipeline requirements and communicate newly curated patterns
- Participate in architecture discussion
- Collaborate with internal agile teams and product owners to help ensure end-to-end quality
- Enable DevOps by moving code from Dev/ Test to Staging, canary, performance, and Production
- On-board, train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards
- Build code delivery pipelines that bake in quality and security and automate everything that can be done around software delivery
- Add robust monitoring, Alerting, and logging, and automating triage activities as much as possible
- Help project teams build applications that are reliable and meet performance metrics
- Bring a software engineering mindset to infrastructure creation and management, while applying the best operational views to ensure security, scalability, and compliance
- Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
- On-board, train and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standards
- Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline and suggest necessary improvements by doing automation or by creating self-service documents
- Research new technology opportunities and how they can be used to add technical capabilities at client
- Drives strategic technology decisions based on collaboration with a broad field of experts outside of the client
- Contributes to the external image of client Technology as a desired workplace to learn technology best practices
- Recognized outside of the client as a thought leader and participates in internal and external communities
- Shapes learning paths for client engineers by bringing what they learn back to clients so everyone can benefit from their experiences
- Creates solutions addressing high-impact technology and business priorities
- Competent in multiple contexts, including programming languages, security, automation, testing, and business domains and is the go-to person for many people (inside and outside of their team)
- Participates in strategic technology decisions and learns how these decisions impact the client as a whole
- Proactively identifies and mitigates issues based on intuition and experience in multiple domains
- Coaches’ technology communities at client
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Bachelor – Computer Science or related
- 6+ Years — Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related
- Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale
Preferred Qualifications
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience developing and releasing infrastructure as a code with DevOps methodology for automation; working with Docker and Kubernetes to create highly available and scalable CI/CD solutions; utilizing and upgrading tools, including Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, and SonarQube; and providing technical direction in design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD platform components.
- Skill Language: Java, Groovy, React, docker, Node, knowledge in OpenShift and Kubernetes
