Job Title: Automation Project Engineer
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and manage design submittals and as-built documents on assigned projects.
- Work with Senior Design Engineer and respective engineering team to generate project graphics, programming, and site database on assigned projects.
- Work with the Project Manager on RFI and change order documentation as needed.
- The respective engineering teams will develop, manage, and maintain project engineering standards in collaboration with the senior design engineer.
- Assist in managing project design schedule and effectively communicate priorities to the project team.
- Will collaborate with the Project Manager and Senior Design Engineer to create, review, and edit the required project quality control documents.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to support programmers, installers, and vendors and ensure that required design and installation information is provided correctly and on time.
- Support the Project Coordinator(s) and Project Manager in coordinating the necessary supplies, equipment, and services from appropriate sources and maintaining inventory control, maintenance, and consumable supplies.
- Stay up to date with current industry technologies and standards.
Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of working experience in Automation and/or Process Controls.
- Must have knowledge of submitting written proposals and scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel, a thorough understanding of construction project schedules and operations, and the ability to meet demanding customer requirements.
- IT and BAS certifications and/or demonstrated knowledge of multiple programming languages preferred.
- Must have strong verbal and listening communication skills and excellent telephone and email etiquette as well as a professional friendly demeanor.
- Proven ability to multitask, handle a high volume of work with extreme accuracy, and adjust to changing priorities.
- The ability to anticipate needs, solve job-related problems independently, and act appropriately.
- Advanced AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements to operate a company vehicle.

Compensation Range: $70,000 – $86,000 Per Year
