Senior Engineer V

Senior Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 12 years’ experience for our Transportation Division in our New York Office. Successful candidates must possess a Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited electrical engineering university.

The ideal candidate will have successfully completed multiple projects for which he was the responsible engineer and which showcase his skills with energy and load calculation software, specification/report writing, and other electrical engineering tasks.

Strong computer software skills in

• Microsoft Project & Office
• Primavera P6, SAP, Master Works (EPPM)
• AutoCAD & Power System Simulation (PSS/E)
• Blue Beam Revu are desired.

Key responsibilities will include being the responsible lead, in the planning, including development of proposal and budget estimates, design and post design of electrical systems for facilities projects for a broad client base. We provide design services to both public agencies and private corporations.

Current projects include public transit terminals and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail.  Other potential projects also include correctional facilities, convention centers, maintenance facilities, public health, and higher education . Also, assisting other senior electrical staff on their projects as required.  The mentoring and supervision of junior electrical engineers and engineering specialist assigned to his projects is a must.

Day to Day Duties:

Works take the lead on his/her own project under the review and supervision of the current chief electrical engineer to perform the following project related efforts:

• Supervise and or develop designs
• Size and specify electrical equipment/systems
• Performs electrical calculations using specialized engineering software
• Develop reports and specifications, utilizing Micro Office Suite
• Field surveys and documents existing conditions.
• Mentor electrical engineers working under his supervision on his projects
• Assist other senior engineers on their projects

 Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

• 12 years minimum relevant experience as an electrical engineering.
• PMP certification is a plus

Compensation Range: $140,352.00 – $187,136.00
