About the Role & Program
The Hulu Casting team oversees casting for all Hulu Scripted Originals and works closely with Hulu’s internal and external creative partners on talent searches for both upcoming and current projects. We help grow Hulu’s business relationships with the industry’s top actors, identify new and emerging talent, and bolster the diversity and inclusivity of onscreen talent in Hulu’s programming.

If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Director, Hulu Casting.
What You Will Do
As an intern with the Hulu Casting team, you will assist with the day-to-day responsibilities of the casting department:
- Become a member of a smart, fun, and collaborative team.
- Assist the department in identifying and casting emerging talent.
- Help find new and creative ways to work together with an eye toward quality and efficiency
Your role may include:
- Writing character breakdown and script coverage.
- Liaising with talent representatives regarding actor availability and material for casting consideration.
- Supporting department team members in desk and phone coverage.
- Assisting in compiling grids/charts, documents, memos and scheduling.
- Research actors and brands/current trends.
- Handle confidential and other sensitive information.
- Providing notes for internal and external meetings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), FileMaker Pro, and Zoom
- A high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A demonstrated proficiency with both Mac and PC operating systems
- A strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry
- Previous experience in entertainment and casting
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadlines
- Exceptional verbal, written (spelling, punctuation, grammar) and interpersonal communication skills– collaboration skills are essential
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Previous entertainment office experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with using Airtable
Education
- Senior-level standing college student, Graduate student, or a recent graduate within 6 months.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are August 2024 through December 2024
- Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
