Position Summary
The Oral Health Director serves as Health Plan’s clinical leader for its oral health strategy and provides clinical oversight and direction to all dental services, including primary, secondary, and preventive dental care, and related functional areas. Ensures that the mission and goals of the organization are realized through the professional and effective delivery of oral health services. The Dental Director supports ABHKS’ mission, vision, and values and will adhere to compliance protocols as well as policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance on how to best achieve and maintain high standards of preventative Oral Health in the Medicaid population.
- Perform chart audits for Dentists and Hygienists to ensure proper chart documentation and provide feedback.
- Develop and lead quarterly Dental Provider meetings.
- Attend regional and state dental association meetings.
- Meet regularly with Health Plan’s Chief Medical Officer to discuss oral health issues affecting rural and urban Kansans.
- Act as the liaison between area Dental/Medical providers and the health plan.
- Meet regularly with CMO, Health Services Office, and Quality Director to develop Quality programs that improve oral health related HEDIS metrics.
- Engages in ideas, and daily activities specific to member satisfaction, and work cross functionally to deploy these to Aetna’s members.
- As directed by the Chief Executive Officer performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives as appropriate to the practice of dentistry.

Preferred Qualifications
Education
- License to practice dentistry in the state of Kansas and a minimum of 5 years of clinical dentistry experience.
- Additional advanced degree in business, public health, healthcare administration preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 – $231,500.00.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
